The Velos Orbitrap Elite was recently released and allows for never-before-seen detection and characterization of protein isoforms for Top Down Proteomics.
Velos-FT 12T Ultra
The Velos FT-12T is the 2nd generation of 12T Trap-FTMS systems constructed in the center. This instrument was constructed in 2010 and serves to accelerate Top Down proteomics research.
LTQ-FT 12T Ultra
The first generation 12T Trap-FTMS system designed in collaboration with ThermoFisher in 2006, this instrument is used for Top Down and Bottom Up sequencing projects.
TSQ Quantum
The triple quadrupole is a lower resolving power instrument, but is particularly suited to the quantitative analysis of peptide mixtures. We use this instrument to perform deep analysis of histone modifications in a variety of systems.
LTQ-FT 7T Development
With strong collaborations with ThermoFisher Scientific and the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, we are equipping this instrument with external accumulation for more sensitive Top Down and Bottom Up proteomics.
Exactive
The Exactive mass spectrometer is a benchtop Orbitrap system and is used for small molecule measurements and some peptide profiling.
LTQ-FT 7T
One of the older instruments in the center, this instrument is well suited to basic peptide MS and MS/MS.
ProSight Suite Software
ProSight Software is codeveloped by the Proteomics Center of Excellence and the Kelleher Research Group for all varieties of Top Down proteomics research. For High-Throughput Top Down Proteomics, we use a 168-core Rocks Linux Cluster.
